The Open Network Foundation, a non-profit organization accelerating the growth of the TON blockchain, is thrilled to announce its collaboration with GMX, a leading decentralized perpetual exchange and spot trading platform. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of decentralized finance (DeFi) by driving innovation in high-frequency trading and transaction fee optimization within the TON ecosystem.

Unlocking new trading opportunities on TON

Through this collaboration, TON Foundation seeks to leverage GMX’s expertise in efficient, low-slippage trading and competitive fee structures to strengthen TON Blockchain’s trading infrastructure. As part of this initiative, TON Foundation and GMX are launching a developer competition, inviting participants to design groundbreaking perpetual decentralized exchanges (DEXs) with two primary goals:

  • High-frequency trading that will maximize efficiency and performance
  • Optimized trading fees to create a seamless user experience with lower costs

The competition is open to all current and in-development projects within the TON ecosystem. Participants will have the chance to compete for:

  • Advisory support from GMX to refine and enhance their projects
  • Backing from TON Foundation

Developers, founders, and users can submit their applications via this form within the next two weeks. The competition itself will span two months, providing participants ample time to deliver impactful solutions.

“GMX is dedicated to creating an accessible, high-performance decentralized finance ecosystem. Today, the GMX DEX is trusted by thousands of traders every day, facilitates billions in weekly trading volume, and serves as a key pillar of the DeFi infrastructure on Arbitrum and Avalanche. We're excited to bring this expertise to TON Blockchain by partnering with TON Foundation to launch this developer competition. And we look forward to the innovative design solutions that the participating builders will create.”
— Jone Zee, Communications Coordinator, GMX

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with GMX as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in DeFi. This competition is an opportunity for developers to showcase their creativity and technical expertise. Inspired by the success of our earlier collaboration with Curve, we believe this initiative will unlock groundbreaking innovations on TON.”
