We recently launched the Hackers League, a global ecosystem-wide winter competition inviting founders, developers and hackers to showcase their blockchain skills and win from a $2M prize pool.

We’re hosting bootcamps in 19 cities across the globe. How the Summer Open League Hackathon set the stage for a bigger experience

From May 24 to June 9 this year, the Summer Open League Hackathon attracted over 2,000 hackers and 350 projects. We arranged 13 offline bootcamps in different locations, providing developers with opportunities to connect, acquire knowledge, and progress together.

During the bootcamps over 1,000 applications were submitted, at the time The Open League’s biggest hackathon. Participants developed Telegram Mini Apps across four tracks: GameFi, SocialFi, DeFi, and eCommerce.

What’s new in the Hackers League 2024 bootcamps?

This season, we’re expanding to 19 cities:

The bootcamps will run during the Hackers League hackathon from October 11 to November 17, 2024. Each event has three days of lectures, public talks, and technical workshops tailored to developers at all skill levels.

Besides learning, each bootcamp will include recreational activities, such as table tennis tournaments, and some cities will host unique sessions like tarot card readings for fun. We aim to create a well-rounded experience that blends work, learning, and socializing.

You can anticipate a dynamic lineup of activities at each bootcamp, including:

• Lectures and Workshops: Our expert-led sessions will explore coding, blockchain fundamentals, and product development.
• Networking Opportunities: Meet fellow developers, TON experts, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and form teams.
• Pitch Sessions: On Day 3, teams will present their projects to a panel of judges, receiving valuable feedback and a chance to move forward in the Hackers League hackathon.
• Exclusive Perks: Each participant will receive a welcome pack, exclusive merchandise, a unique Soulbound Token (SBT) and a hackathon-first one-week coworking pass to continue working on their projects after the bootcamp. The bootcamps will feature a prize pool of $85,000, with participants competing for $5,000 on the spot

Beyond the technical skills, you’ll have the chance to create connections with like-minded developers, helping expand TON’s Web3 ecosystem.

Preparing you for success in the Hackers League Hackathon

Our primary objective is to get as many developers as possible ready to apply for the Hackers League Hackathon. We want to equip you with the skills and knowledge to pitch, build, and scale your projects. Successful pitches at the bootcamps will be fast-tracked into the hackathon, where you’ll work on developing a minimum viable product (MVP).

Once you've made it to the hackathon, the best projects will share a $2 million prize pool, with additional incentives from the TON Builders Growth Program. Winners will also be eligible for grants, acceleration programs, and VC funding.

Team collaboration and focus areas at the Bootcamps

We’ll split participants into teams, each responsible for creating a project based on the Hackers League tracks: DeFi, Gaming & Onboarding, Social & Utility, or Infra. These tracks represent key growth areas within the TON ecosystem, and each team will focus on building products that leverage the strengths of blockchain technology.

Our experts will guide you through the process, offering feedback and support to help you refine your ideas. By the end of the bootcamp, you’ll have a clear roadmap for developing your MVP and scaling your project within the TON network.
