We’re thrilled to announce the Hackers League, a global hackathon designed to showcase the talents of developers, founders and hackers worldwide. It is more than a competition: the Hackers League is an opportunity for the brightest minds in the blockchain space to bring their ideas to life, all while competing for millions in prizes. With a prize pool of $1.4 million and an additional $2.1 million in VC funding up for grabs, the opportunity on offer to participants is the chance to turn a concept into a fully funded startup.

An opportunity like no other for blockchain innovators

The Hackers League provides the perfect platform for developers looking to make a real impact in the world of Web3. Participants will compete across five specialized tracks—including DeFi and GameFI—and will have just eight weeks to turn their initial ideas into fully functioning dApps. It promises to be an intense, fast-paced competition designed to challenge developers to push the limits of what blockchain technology can deliver to improve everyday life.

This hackathon builds on the success of our earlier initiative, the Open League, which took place during the summer and saw 3,000 participants and 1,000 project submissions entered. The Open League demonstrated the massive enthusiasm within the TON ecosystem and the wider blockchain community for creating practical, real-world applications that can help further the mainstream adoption of blockchain technology.

Fostering creativity, collaboration and innovation

At TON, we believe in supporting the development of future blockchain leaders, which is why coding is only one aspect of the Hackers League. Our mission is to encourage creativity, innovation, and collaboration within our community. We are organizing over 20 in-person boot camps in 20 cities globally from September to December, coinciding with the end of the competition. All individuals who enter will have the opportunity to learn directly from TON ecosystem experts, collaborate with fellow developers, and connect with some of the best and brightest founders in the blockchain space. We are pretty confident that the practical experience participants will get from the Hacker League will not only sharpen their skills but also inspire them to explore possibilities for solving real-world problems through blockchain technology.
