Over the 20-day campaign, participants could explore 24 DeFi protocols and earn from a $1.5M reward pool. The results are in, and they’re nothing short of impressive:

## DeFi League results

The competition in the DeFi League was fierce. Two squads (TVL and Volume) comprised 23 participants competing for a prize pool of $100,000 in marketing credits, audit coverage and airdrop for their users.

With Season 6 of The Open League (TOL 6) having come to a close, it’s time to reflect on all the highlights, milestones, and standout moments that made this season one for the books. With increasing user activity, impressive rewards, and incredible team performance, TOL 6 was the most successful season yet by various key metrics.

Let’s recap TOL season 6, covering everything from the airdrop madness to the rise of top apps, DeFi protocols, and NFT collections.

## **The airdrop season was on fire!**

1.8M Normie and 217.7K Degen badges were minted throughout the campaigns. Of those, 20,094 wallets were eligible for the Normie airdrop (284 wallets excluded due to Sybil activity), and 1947 unique wallets obtained rewards for being active in the Degen campaign! 

For the [Degen airdrop](https://society.ton.org/degen-airdrop), users needed to get a Degen badge and provide at least $200 of liquidity or trade for at least $1000 in the participating DeFi projects.

Maximum Degen airdrop size: $1,000

To be considered active participants in the [Normie airdrop](https://society.ton.org/normie-airdrop), users needed to get a Normie badge and make a transaction in at least two apps of the App League—176,000 unique wallets managed to achieve this! To qualify for the actual reward, the wallet's Normie score needed to equal or exceed 8 points.

Average Normie airdrop size: $49.7

Maximum Normie airdrop size: $584.6

The community came together in a big way, and the competitive spirit was palpable as wallets vied for the top spots.

## **1. App League: Growth, recognition, and top performers**

83 TON Apps attracted 3.9M unique active wallets - a stunning 390% growth compared to Season 5! Well, no wonder - Blum alone hit 2.5M UAW.

It is also worth mentioning five Apps with the highest average Normie score among their users. This growth trajectory shows the increasing trust and interest in TON-based DeFi projects.

With yet another season of The Open League behind us, it is time to review how the season went and discover the best projects. In this article, we will look at the before and after-season data, review the winners, and share the updates for Season 6. 

### **Key Highlights**
The data below compares data points recorded before and after Season 5. 

- The number of active on-chain users increased by 48% from 743,706 to 993,876
- The total TON TVL with LP Boosts increased by 750k with an average 50% APR
- Season 5 brought 700k daily active wallets
- We recorded $130M in daily volumes on DEXs
- Over 2M new active wallets during Season 5

## **Final Rankings for The Open League Season 5**
In Season 5, we tracked four leagues – Token, App, NFT, and DeFi. Below are the final leaderboard snapshots as of the official end of the season. The rankings are based on various metrics for each category, mainly the number of holders, TVL, DEX activity, and distribution.

### **App Battle**
As in Season 4, the two top spots remain unchanged, with **Catizen** and **Yescoin** dominating the leaderboard. **Vertus** progressed from Season 4’s 4th spot to spot number 3, and **Gamee** jumped from 10th place to 4th. Newcomer **Pumpers** took the 5th spot, followed by **Fanzee** in the 6th place, and **Jetton** at number 7. These seven teams will share a total of $500,000 based on their league placement.

### **Token League**
**NOT** grabbed the top spot, progressing from 2nd place in the previous season. **JETTON** skyrocketed from 15th to 2nd place, and **TONG** took 3rd place. Chasing after, we have **WALL** at 4th, **PUNK** at 5th, and **REGI**, winner of Season 4, at spot number 6. The last team of the top seven is **HYDRA**. These seven teams will also share $500,000 in rewards.

### **NFT League**
The NFT League saw a few major changes, with Season 4’s 6th-place **Gatto** taking the top spot. The 2nd and 3rd places remain unchanged, with **Market Makers** and **TON Diamonds**. ### **DeFi League**
Season 5 brought big changes to the DeFi leaderboard, where nothing is as it was before. The top spot was grabbed by **EVAA**, who were sitting in the 2nd place in Season 4. In the 2nd spot, we have **DAOLama** moving up from the 5th, **Tradoor** at the 3rd moving up from the 5th, and **DeDust** at spot number 4. **Ston.fi** and **Storm Trade** are closing the leaderboard sitting at 5th and 6th place, respectively. This league shared a total of $150,000.

What's cooking, TON Community? Season 4 of The Open League has wrapped up, and what an exciting season it was! We saw some fresh faces claim victory while our seasoned pros held their ground. Everyone brought their A-game.

## **Final Rankings for The Open League Season 4**
This season, we tracked four leagues – Token, App, NFT, and DeFi. Below are the final leaderboard snapshots as of the official end of the season.
The rankings are based on various metrics for each category, mainly the number of holders, TVL, DEX activity, and distribution.

### **App Battle**
The two leading spots remain unchanged, with **Catizen** and **Yescoin** dominating the leaderboard, followed by **MomoAI**, **Vertus**, **SquidTG**, **TON Punks**, and **Gleam** tailing the top seven. These seven teams will share a total of $500,000 based on their league placement.

### **NFT League**
In this brand-new category, we’ve opened the competition to NFT projects. This season’s best three are **TON Frogs**, **Market Makers**, and **TON Diamonds**. The three best teams will share a total of $50,000.

### **DeFi League**
Another new leaderboard dedicated to DeFi has seen just six competitors, with **DeDust** coming out at the top, followed by **EVAA**, **Storm Trade**, **Ston.fi**, **DAOLama**, and **Tradoor**. This league shared a total of $150,000.

## **The Open League: Season 5**
**Season 5 kicks off on July 10 at 11 am UTC!** Applications are open now and close on July 3 at 11 am UTC. Details on the prize pool, LP boost size, duration, and methodology are coming soon. Stay tuned; it's going to be epic!

The top 10 projects from the Token Battle are in for a significant opportunity! They can snatch an LP boost for their liquidity providers in Season 5, but they need to meet the usual benchmarks:
- be ready to match the boost with your own token
- have an active token mining mechanism
- maintain a TVL of $200k+ in pairs with TON, stablecoins, and staked TON

The Open League Season 4 Results: New Champions Emerge!

So folks, that was Season 3 of The Open League. Quite the ride, huh? There have been some big developments, and TON has gone from success to success. It’s all been happening quickly, and we know you’re probably a little tired from keeping up with everything—Notcoin, new announcements, and the entire ever-growing ecosystem. So, after we’re done celebrating the Season 3 results, we’ll give you a two-week break to gather your strength before starting up again with something extra special.

During this break, make sure to get ready for Season 4; there’s going to be a lot happening! We’ll update you on any rule changes—some will be pretty wild! Keep in mind that for the next two weeks, there will be no LP boosts until the start of the next season; teams can provide their own, and TON Society will happily advertise them. Yeah, yeah, we know you’re not thinking about anything but the Notcoin listing these days, but before the NOT-Day arrives, let’s review the results of The Open League’s Season 2, which just officially ended. 

If you asked crypto influencers on Twitter how they feel, they would probably tell you that it’s so over, but looking at Season 2 data, we dare to disagree. And while there might be a lot of negative sentiment and doomy predictions, the TON Ecosystem keeps on marching forward, completely unbothered. 

**At the end of Season 1, we implemented two new changes that impacted the progression of The Open League’s Season 2:** 
- Reduced the season duration from one month to just two weeks to speed up rewards distribution and allow more projects to compete
- Reduced leaderboards from five to three to simplify the competition and make promotions and relegations more straightforward. 

**For Season 3, starting now, we’re implementing just one change: Liquidity Pool Boosts will be capped at 15,000 TON to account for Toncoin market movements.**

TOL Season 2 Results Just Landed: Two Teams Eliminated!

What’s cooking, you absolute Chads? The Open League Season 1 is officially over, and it’s time to look back at the best projects of the past month. The last month was hectic, filled with announcements flooding (pun intended) from Dubai’s Token 2049 – from USDt and XAUt on TON to Telegram’s plans to reward sticker creators and more. While the market went through significant ups and downs and influencers kept fighting over whether we were in a bear market or a bull market, one thing remained unchanged: the growth happening in The Open League.

In Season 1, we welcomed several major changes that rewrote the rules of The Open League and allowed more projects to participate for rewards. We introduced new leaderboards, launched Memelandia and DeFi Grants, and boosted the rewards for top projects. In addition, we airdropped rewards to the most active traders and distributed multiple rewards. 

In addition, the two leading TON DEXs, Ston.fi and DeDust, have now deployed new boosts. The total farming rewards to be distributed to the participants of the Major League are $224,483 on Ston.fi and $66,304 on DeDust.

But now, let’s get to the main point of this article.

Season 2 will bring a few changes that will affect the progression of The Open League. These changes are mainly focused on making the league more dynamic, faster, and simpler to understand. 

- **Season 2 will last only 2 weeks** instead of the previous 1 month. This will speed up reward distribution and allow more projects to participate in the upcoming seasons. 
- **We’re reducing the number of leaderboards from five to three: App Battle, Token Major League & Token Minor League.** Meme Coin category will be merged under token league, DeFi and Liquid Staking categories are removed. 
- **Major League promotions:** JVT, ANON, WEB3, REDO, @BTC25
- **New Minor League teams:** DYOR, OPEN, BURN, DICK, CRYPTON, and WALL
- **New App Battle teams:** Shardify, XPLUS, Cheques Corp, Catizen, and The Pixels

We’re excited to conclude the pilot season of The Open League and introduce you, absolute on-chain Chads, to the best projects we had the honor to host in our testing round. 

The Pilot had its ups and downs and we faced some challenges, but together with your never-ending support, we overcame every obstacle and successfully finished the season.
